Grandson of Sandi and Gary Brougham shows his chicken. <BR><BR><IMG style="WIDTH: 313px; HEIGHT: 344px" height=918 src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/90243-78760/rachel_at_big_e.JPG" width=700 border=0>&nbsp;Rachel Austin age 6&nbsp; happily rides her pony Maizi. <BR><BR><IMG style="WIDTH: 464px; HEIGHT: 265px" height=517 src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/90243-78760/3_boys_big_e_calves.JPG" width=700 border=0>&nbsp;<BR>Working Steer&nbsp;Classes<BR>Fitting and Showmanship:<BR>&nbsp;In this class the animals are judged on cleanliness, trimming and the owners ability to show their cattle to their best advantage and knowledge about the animal and equipment used. <BR>Cart Class:<BR>This class is a timed event where the teamster must hitch his animal to a cart and follow a set course that the judge has chosen. Each teamster&nbsp;is judged on how to give commands for a gee turn ( right) and haw turn ( left ), doing a figure 8, stopping and starting their animals at a marked point ( the hump), backing and unhooking into the mock barn.<BR>Stone Boat/drag class<BR>This class is also a timed event and judged on the teamsters ability to hitch and unhitch to a sled or drag instead of a wheeled cart. The weight on the sled is determined by the weight of the team. Its so easy to do even the kids can help. Nice to have&nbsp;on hand for Shepard's pie, soups, stews and quiche.&nbsp;<BR><BR>Easy steps to freezing corn<BR><BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<IMG style="WIDTH: 316px; HEIGHT: 138px" height=525 src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/90243-78760/husk_corn.JPG" width=700 border=0>Husk the corn, pull of silks<BR><BR><IMG style="WIDTH: 348px; HEIGHT: 210px" height=525 src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/90243-78760/cook_corn.JPG" width=700 border=0>&nbsp;Put 2 inches of water in stock pot, bring to boil. Many thanks to our nephews/cousins &nbsp;in giving a helping hand on the pond project. In the back ground you can see a cleaner area. Old fencing was removed and the land regraded around the pond.
